Kelly Clarkson, You have been quoted a saying that you do not "give a crap about being a star" but we your fans do "give a crap"  .  June 18, 2007

Kelly, we the fans have worked very hard to help you become a star and want you to always be a star. Becoming a star is not an option open to millions upon millions of people. You Kelly, however, have that option but more importantly you have the obligation of being a star and being the American Idol star like it or not. I can think of a lot worse things. Everyone has things they don't like about what they do and who they have to answer to but you are a star you have the obligation to answer to your fans. We the fans are the ones that have voted thousands (millions) of times for you whether for your videos, or on Idol. We the fans we have called and requested your songs when radio stations early on locally said they would "never ever play Kelly Clarkson". We the fans are the ones that made "Thankful" and "Breakaway" huge successes. We the fans made your 1st Season Idol tour 2002,  your next summer "Thankful" fairgrounds tour 2003, your Independent Tour 2004, your Breakaway Tour 2005, your Behind Hazel Eyes Tour 2005 and your Addicted Tour 2006 great successes. We the fans many of us had tickets for the "My December" in our case the Washington DC date. We the fans have bought your CDs, DVDs, and driven tens of hours round trip to see you in concert or even flown great distances to see you in concert. So when you say you "don't give a crap about becoming a star" it makes us feel like why should we "give a crap about helping to make you a star" It is as if all the time spent helping you become a star was time wasted. Maybe you should review Simon Cowell's comment to you after you sang "Don't play that song" in Idol 1 which was great by the way. He said he didn't think you would and hoped you would not become a star "Diva" that would forget their fans, however, even though you do your concerts in barefeet and do not dress diva you have become what you didn't want to become a "diva".Words of advise, get the person that did your hair, makeup, and wardrobe on Idol, they did an incredible job making you look fantastic week after week. Don't surround yourself by "Yes" people and do listen to advise from others in the music business and send it though with your own special style. These people are very intelligent people with years of experience and want you to become all you can be as a star. From musical conflict can come incredible creativity. Your voice is just one thing your fans love about you,  it is also your "cool beans" personality.  We the fans also want you to look great, like a star. On idol you looked great, the Grammies you looked great, the VMAs when you sang in the rain you looked great, the music awards with Uncle Kracker you looked incredible. Fire the person that dressed you for your sing along with Rascal Flats and the person that dressed you in that mumu that you wore when you sang with Jeff Beck on Idol Gives Back" . God gave you a gift, your voice,  it is your obligation to share it with others, but it is also your obligation to look like a star and be a star for the millions that want you to be a star and helped you become a star. There will be ups and downs, everyone experiences them too. Be a star the Kelly Clarkson way, it is your option, but it is also your obligation to your fans. If you do not care about being a the star do not expect us your fans to put forth the same effort it took to help you become a star.
